GIS modelling: SWAT

Brief description

The Soil and Water Assessment tool (SWAT) is a freely available modelling software package to analyse water, soil, agriculture and nutrient interactions at catchment modelling.

Learning objectives

The course trains water professionals in using GIS data to be used for SWAT modelling in order to support model-based water management planning.

Target group

This short course is aimed for engineers operational in the field of water or land management or research.

Additional information

The modes of instruction used in this short course are 40% lectures, and 60% hands-on training on the computer.
