How do I apply for a MSc Programme?

The following four steps guide you through the application procedure for UNESCO-IHE's master programmes.

Step 1.

First of all we advise you to carefully read the contents of all MSc programmes and their specialisations before making up your mind which programme/specialisation suits you best.

We advise you to apply for the programme/specialisation that best suits your academic background, work experience and that would best meet your future plans.

It is our experience that a number of applicants, before applying to a certain programme, have not read the contents well and therefore makes a choice for a certain specialisation, whereas another specialisation might be more useful or interesting.

Once you have been academically accepted to a certain programme it may be difficult to change to another programme later on.

Step 2.

Check if you you meet the admission criteria as mentioned here.

Step 3.

Click on application form Master programmes to download the application form.

After that collect the necessary documents that should be sent together with your completed application form:

* Certified photocopies of degrees/diplomas;

* Copy of academic transcripts translated in English (list with subjects that you followed during your university study and marks obtained);

* Two reference letters, preferably one from a person that can judge your professional abilities (actual employer) and one from a person that can judge your academic abilities;

* Copy of passport if available;

* Copy of results of TOEFL or IELTS test if required (see Requirements English here).

Step 4.

Only send your application if it is complete: incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration! You have to send your application by airmail to:

UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education

Student Affairs Office

P.O.Box 3015

2601 DA Delft

Netherlands

As you are required to sign the forms and accompany them with the appropriate and certified documents, UNESCO-IHE cannot accept applications in electronic form. Only original applications will be accepted.
