Erick de Jong

Erick de Jong (MA in Educational and Organisational psychology, 1985) is Academic Registrar and Educational Policy Advisor. He entered UNESCO-IHE in 1993 as Head of the Educational Affairs section. Nowadays, his main responsibilities concern the development and implementation of educational policies and academic quality assurance. He is the focal person for all matters related to the accreditation and validation of educational programmes. In the framework of UNESCO-IHE’s partnership programmes, Mr. De Jong assists institutes throughout the world in curriculum development, course design, and reviewing didactical concepts.

In recent years, Mr. De Jong intensively dealt with the renewal of UNESCO-IHE’s Master programmes and the development of joint programmes with international partners. These processes led to the modularisation of the curriculum and the introduction of various formats of knowledge transfer, including distance education.

As Academic Registrar, Mr. De Jong is responsible for the academic admission of applicants and for the awarding of diplomas.
