The Minister of Public Works of Indonesia, Mr. Ir. Djoko Kirmanto visited UNESCO-IHE on June the 24. Mr. Kirmanto, himself an alumnus of the Institute, was welcome by the deputy director Ir. Joop de Schutter.
Activities concerning the present and future cooperation between the Ministry of Public Works of Indonesia and UNESCO-IHE were at the centre of discussion.
Fourteen Indonesian students are following Master of Sciences programmes this academic year, while a major project on capacity building and partnerships involving 10 Indonesian universities is under implementation. See project details
The minister, who was a student of Hydraulic Engineering in 1974 – 1975, had a meeting with the Indonesian students, where the progress of their study was reviewed.
