UNESCO-IHE has over 80 experts with impressive international track records in water sector development. The Institute can also mobilize a network of alumni in more than 164 countries who can contribute a mix of modern know-know and local expertise to any development-related project.
Being academically independent, UNESCO-IHE experts are unbiased and as such well positioned to carry out feasibility studies, provide second opinions, and undertake assignments related to project formulation, appraisal, monitoring or evaluation.
They also contribute to the research and capacity building components of larger infrastructure or sector reform projects.
Other advisory activities undertaken by UNESCO-IHE staff include institutional analyses, human capacity and training needs assessments, and environmental impact assessments.
