On Tuesday 3 July from 12:45-13:30, Dr. Prem Bindraban from ISRIC will give a lunch seminar titled: "The role of world soils in natural resource management – the case of Green Water Credits".

Prem Bindraban is the director of ISRIC. Prem specialized in production ecology and world food security. He has worked at several international research institutions, including IRRI and CIMMYT.

He was head of a research group for eight years on natural resources at Wageningen UR and has been engaged in research projects for the World Bank, FAO, IWMI and many other research and development organisations. He emphasized the use of scientific information to seek practical solutions in agriculture and to take actively part in debates in policy circles and society.

ISRIC is an independent knowledge centre to serve the international community with information about the world’s soils and thus to resolving major global issues. We are the only World Data Centre for Soils (WDC-Soils) within the ICSU World Data System. ISRIC is affiliated to Wageningen University.
