The Water Knowledge for the New Millennium (WaterMill) working paper series presents topical papers that address challenges faced by the water sector. The papers cover a broad spectrum of subjects ranging from urban water supply to sustainable wetland management, from rural sanitation to the operation of large reservoirs, and from public participation to the hydro-politics of international river basins.
Addressing the challenges facing the water sector in the new millennium requires interdisciplinary research. The WaterMill series thus encompasses the wide range of academic disciplines that are relevant for water, from biochemistry to hydrology, from engineering to sociology and from economics to law
The series provide an early outlet of research results that are made publicly available through the internet.
The WaterMill editorial board is responsible for the academic quality and developmental relevance of the papers. Manuscripts submitted to WaterMill will be reviewed by peers.
