Henk Lubberding

Senior Lecturer in Microbiology



Resume

Dr Henk Lubberding is Senior Lecturer in Microbiology at UNESCO-IHE Delft in the Department of Environmental Resources. He is responsible for the lecturing and laboratory courses in microbiology.

Henk Lubberding joined IHE in 1988 and since then he has been the programme co-ordinator and mentor for the Master Programmes in Environmental Science and Technology (EST) and Water and Environmental Resources Management (WERM). At present he is the programme coordinator for the 18 months MSc programme in Environmental Science.

His lecturing activities are in "general microbiology" and in "anaerobic microbiology". Other activities are the supervision of MSc students and PhD fellows.

His main research activities are the microbiology of nitrification and the removal of pathogens.

Henk Lubberding is member of the daily board of the Technical Commission on Anaerobic Digestion, a working group of the Dutch Society of Wastewater Treatment and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Dutch Magazine for biologists "Bionieuws".
