Dr. Diederik Rousseau is lecturer in Environmental Engineering in the Department of Environmental Resources at UNESCO-IHE Delft since October 2005. He holds both an MSc (1999) and PhD (2005) degree from Ghent University in Belgium in Applied Biological Sciences - Environmental Technology.
His teaching activities mainly focused on bio-monitoring based on plankton and macro-invertebrate communities, and on natural systems for wastewater treatment. Research was oriented on model-based evaluation of the performance of constructed wetlands.
Diederik is now mentor of the Master Programme in Environmental Science and continues his research and teaching activities on natural systems for (waste)water treatment.
