The UNESCO-IHE Partnership for Water Education and Research (PoWER) is a multilateral, global partnership that currently has 18 members.
PoWER develops and provides demand-responsive and duly accredited postgraduate education, joint research and capacity building services to individuals and organizations throughout the developing world.
The PoWER partners aim to ensure delivery of high-quality knowledge in a ‘lifelong and creative’ setting, based on academic excellence, best practices and good governance.
Lifelong learning and innovation are keywords within the partnership.
Under the PoWER framework, joint Masters programmes have been developed with universities in China, India, Indonesia and the UK, and a growing number of online courses are being developed.
Creative learning and innovative learning processes and methods are encouraged within all partner institutions.
